How We Help

As the leading gynecologist in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Roz is committed to helping women feel healthy and confident. The Dr. Roz MD team uses a functional medicine approach to determine the best course of management for each woman. This is how we get to the root of your problems and concerns and promptly fix them.

Whether you’re experiencing abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovaries, vaginal prolapse, urine incontinence, or any other gynecological concern, we provide healthy, non-invasive, and safe therapies. There are times in gynecology where surgery is needed, but it does not have to be the first choice. Before we recommend any treatment, we consider all aspects of your unique situation, including your fertility status.

The Mommy Makeover

Pregnancy can have long-lasting effects on a woman’s body and appearance. Loose vaginal tissue, urine leakage, excessive skin around the vagina, and loose skin on the tummy can now be restored! We offer vaginal tightening with ThermiVa, and reduction of your lady parts with Aviva. We can also use BodyTite, a skin tightening technology involving liposuction, to tighten loose skin on the abdomen.

Pap Smear

A Pap smear, also known as a Pap test, is a procedure used to collect cervical cells. The Dayton gynecologist will insert a small instrument called a speculum into the upper areas of your vagina to collect the necessary cervical cells. This test will identify the earliest signs of cervical cancer. If you have cervical cancer, it should be identified at the earliest stage possible to facilitate quick and effective treatments. According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, women should start undergoing Pap smears at the age of 21.

Annual Gynecologic Exams

Annual gynecologic exams are essential for preventative care and health screening. Women should start their annual exams with gynecologists in their teenage years, preferably between 13 and 15 years of age. Women should also start undergoing internal pelvic exams by the age of 21. The Pap smear is one of the most common components of an annual gynecologic exam. Other essential components of the screening include STI tests, mammograms, and breast exams, the latter especially for women who are middle aged.

Your annual exam will include a discussion of:

  • Periods, including the date of your last period and potential abnormalities
  • Sexual history, including whether you’re using protection or birth control
  • Abnormal sensations or symptoms in your vaginal area, including dryness or discharge
  • Your ongoing medications

Your annual exam will include the following physical exams:

  • Measuring your heart rate, weight, height, blood pressure, and other vital signs
  • Breast exams to identify possible lumps
  • External and internal pelvic exams
  • STI testing
  • Pap smear
