BodyTite is performed as an in-office and outpatient procedure under local anesthesia with intravenous sedation. The cosmetic provider will make a small incision on the skin’s surface on the targeted area to slide a probe underneath your skin. The other end of the BodyTite device sits on top of your skin, opposite the probe. The device generates radiofrequency energy to dissolve the unwanted subcutaneous fat cells.
The melted fat cells can be suctioned out of your body via a tube-like device known as a cannula, thereby making your body look slimmer and more contoured. Radiofrequency energy also penetrates deeper into your skin to produce collagen, a fibrous protein that makes your skin look firm, taut, and contoured.
