Mammogram Recommendations

It is recommended that a woman has a mammogram yearly beginning at age 40. Screening begins earlier with a significant family history of Breast Cancer.

New breakthrough that is now FDA approved, the 3D Mammogram.
Often women are called back for additional images of the breast after a standard mammogram. Only to find that their anxiety and additional cost for additional exams turn out to be a false alarm. According to research studies the 3D Mammogram detects 41% more invasive breast cancers and reduce false positives by 40%. This means that 3D mammography is finding more clinically significant breast cancers earlier.

Treat your body like it’s your baby. Would you give your baby bad food that she couldn’t digest? Would you pay attention if your baby wasn’t having regular bowel movements? Would you make sure your baby was clean and comfortable and that she had a good night sleep.

Love yourself first, good nutrition, a good night sleep, regular exercise, low stress, detox and getting regular checkups are part of the formula to live the life you truly love by giving your body what it needs.

Let’s start with good Nutrition. I can’t stress enough the power of clean eating and replenishing essential nutrients. Eating clean mean to consume foods that are not genetically modified (GMO), processed foods or foods loaded with pesticides. Common foods that are genetically modified: Corn, seedless watermelon, zucchini, papayas. GMO’s are toxic to our bodies and reek havoc as the toxins slowly creeps up and cause disease, this is a very controversial subject. Some may have a problem with digesting these foods and develop constipation. Regular bowel movements is going 2 – 3 times per day. If you’re going 2 – 3 times per week it’s a problem. You may say that you have done this your entire life. Well, it’s a chronic problem. The gut is the first line of defense for your immune system.

FYI, if your stool has a foul odor or you have a bad breath odor you’re not breaking down proteins that you consume and therefore not getting all the nutritional benefits of the foods you consume. Betaine HCL found in your health food store will fix this problem when you take it with meals.

Keeping a healthy gut lining requires eating a clean diet. One of my other favorites ways to promote a healthy gut is taking a probiotic on a regular basis. I will share how replenishing a simple mineral can also help you have regular movements which aid in eliminating waste and a form of detoxing.

Stressor

A good night sleep is essential. We may not all get 8 hours at night and everyone may not need 8 hours per night to feel refreshed in the morning. And some can’t get 3 consecutive hours per night. While we are at rest our body is going through a process of repair. Subconscious and conscious thinking stops that’s if you don’t go to bed thinking about how horrible your day was and all the things you still need to do, then your first waking thought is thinking of all the things you need to do.

Give yourself a fresh start every morning. One of my favorite things to do when I first wake up in the morning is to say positive affirmations to myself.

The same mineral that helps with keeping your bowels regular also helps with sleep. It is also related to stress.

With stress it’s very challenging to get sleep at all if you are constantly focused on the stressor. An easy way to eliminate this is to think of something that brings pleasure to you. Maybe a recent vacation, your favorite place to visit, your favorite Holiday or your favorite niece. Whatever it takes to erase the thought of the stressor if only for five minutes.

Magnesium

Regular exercise helps by keeping your bones healthy. We often don’t think of our bones until we fracture or break one. Good bone health requires regular weight bearing exercise. This simple mineral also helps with healthy bones and it’s not Calcium.

Calcium is needed for healthy bone. But you need Magnesium to put the calcium into your bones.

Magnesium is the Mineral most Americans are deficient of and it’s needed in over 400 reactions in our body. My favorite way to take in Magnesium is an Epsom salt bath and to drink Natural Calm, a powder form of Magnesium mixed in a cup of warm water makes for a great bedtime drink and a good night sleep.

I have a new daughter! Just for a school year though as my two daughters and I welcome Marta into our home. Marta is an exchange student from Spain.

I realize that my true purpose in this life is to cultivate and care for others. Marta coming into our home for a year is so refreshing. I feel like I have a chance to re-explore how I parent. This is what I want for all of you. To Find your true purpose and explore and live your best life.
I acted on this without asking the opinion of others. This will be my experience. I have learned that when I ask the opinion of others it opens you up to clutter. I believe when your living in your true purpose there is no room for clutter. And there is no room for lack of energy, no sleep, hot flashes or No libido. Bioidentical Hormones made simple

Bio-Identical Hormones are a plant based hormone with a chemical structure like the hormones the body naturally produce. As we age the hormones we produce decrease. This decline and fluctuation can began as early as age 35. The average age for menopause is 51 plus or minus 3 years. When we lack these hormones we feel the affect.
